From the galactic fun of Star Wars Night to honoring generations on Grandparents Night and recognizing our hometown heroes during Public Safety Night, these special themed evenings add extra excitement and community spirit to Live on the Avenue.

Come celebrate the beautiful game of Soccer with our Recreation Soccer Friends and stay to watch the World Cup Quarter Final Game!
Celebrate community and conservation with local organizations dedicated to protecting Marin's natural beauty. Learn about waste reduction, recycling, composting, and sustainable living through interactive displays, helpful resources, and hands-on conversations. Discover how small actions can make a meaningful difference—at Live on the Avenue and beyond.
Sirens, smiles, and big red trucks! Stop by to meet local first responders, check out the fire trucks and police vehicles, ring the fire bell, and enjoy hands on fun for the whole family.
Make memories together with a fun photo booth, hands on arts and crafts, great music, and an evening the whole family will treasure.

Catch the next generation of local musical talent as middle and high school bands take the Town Hall Stage, presented by Eric Gelman. Captain Canary won our Teen Battle of the Bands and Polaris came in 2nd place. You won’t want to miss these performances.

Baldydash is back for its 3rd year on Saturday, August 29 - a 5-mile trail "race" from Robson House up Bald Hill and back to town, finishing just in time for Live on the Avenue.
Over 100 Baldydashers are already signed up. Runners, hikers and walkers of all abilities are welcome, raising funds for Live on the Avenue and The YES Foundation.
Stick around for prizes from local businesses - including The Averager, awarded to the person who finishes exactly in the middle of the field.

Step into a galaxy far, far away right on the Avenue! Meet and snap photos with members from the 501st Legion’s Golden Gate Garrison, then test your galactic skills in an all-ages Star Wars themed scavenger hunt. And be sure to stop by and catch a STAR WARS Movie Night presented by CA FILM. It’s an out-of-this-world experience packed with fun for fans of all generations.
Get ready to laugh! Join us at the Creek Park Stage for a FREE night of comedy featuring Johnny Steele, Don Reed, Larry “Bubbles” Brown, and Sue Alfieri, hosted by Pat Townsley, with special musical guest Paul Geller.
Bring a blanket or low back chair, settle in on the lawn, and enjoy an evening of live music and laughs under the stars!

Get creative at Live on the Avenue! From hands-on art projects and design workshops to maker showcases and interactive activities, Art & Maker Moments invite kids and families to explore, create, and take home a little inspiration of their own.

You Belong Among the Stars
- Pop Art Superstars: Children decorate oversized paper bag stars with bold colors, patterns, dots, stripes, and graphic designs before adding them to the community installation.
- Community Mural: Keith Haring × Roy Lichtenstein: Create a collaborative ground mural by tracing one another's bodies and filling each figure with bold colors and Roy Lichtenstein inspired comic dots using washable dot markers.
- Warhol's Color Studio: Inspired by Andy Warhol's playful cat and dog portrait series, participants will experiment with bold Pop Art color combinations as they create their own vibrant pet portraits.

Lanterns of Light
- Celebrating the People Who Light Our Way: Inspired by contemporary artist Mami Takahashi and the Japanese tradition of Summer Obon, participants will create a colorful lantern in honor of a grandparent, elder, or someone special who brings light to their life.
- Color, Sparkle & Shine: Layer tissue paper, experiment with bold colors and patterns, and add sparkle with rhinestones, glitter, beads, and playful streamers to create a one of a kind lantern.
- Together, We Glow: Add completed lanterns to our growing community installation, creating a vibrant celebration of family, memory, and connection across generations. Every lantern tells a story, every generation adds its light, and together, we glow.
