Makuru

Makuru is created by Peter Warren and features Ousseynou Kouyate, renowned African singer and dancer from the National Ballet of Senegal. He also toured with Senegalese superstar Youssou N’Dour, who famously sang on Peter Gabriel’s song, “In Your Eyes”. Makuru features top Bay Area world musicians on bass, guitar, drum set and traditional African instruments. Special guests who have joined Makuru on stage include Joan Baez and Miriam Diakite.
